The Renaissance Asheville Hotel, in the heart of downtown Asheville, North Carolina, has the position of Catering Sales/Event Manager available.

The Renaissance Asheville Hotel is a franchise of Marriott International owned and operated by Windsor Capital Group. It is a luxurious lifestyle hotel with 280 hotel rooms, 22k sq. ft. of meeting and banquet facilities, full service restaurant, lobby lounge and morning café. We are located in center of Downtown Asheville, a city thriving with cultural and outdoor activity, surrounded by the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

We are looking for someone who will…

  • Work as an integral part of the Sales Team to book group events within the group booking parameters.
  • Provide property support by coordinating and executing site inspections/visits for off-property sales managers.
  • Verify that the business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery.
  • Pull through business booked through the Sales Office, as well as achieve group revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity.
  • Implement the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. 
  • Aggressively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling techniques.

To be eligible for this position you must…

  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. College degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Have previous sales experience in a full service hotel of comparable market or rate position.
  • Be detail oriented, have ability to communicate well with all levels within and outside the organization, and be able to problem-solve with employees and guests.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
