Intensive Outpatient Treatment school for adolescents; qualified individual will supplement instruction and supervise classroom activities. Ideal candidate has teaching experience (preferably certified as a teacher) and a desire to make a positive impact. Must have great work ethic, high energy level and a passion for helping teenagers with struggles. Experience as a tutor is desired. Seeking those certified in Art, Science, or Math
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Teaching children ages 14-18 years old in a small group setting
· Creating lesson plans and following school curriculum
· Working with children on their individual school curriculum
· Communicating with students, educators, parents, schools, and clinical treatment team
Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student
The hours for the position will be Monday-Friday, from 9:30am - 2:30pm (4 hours a day): 2 hours will be dedicated to the classroom, 2 hours for administrative tasks, 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
The qualified candidate will have a B.A or B.S (tutoring and/or teaching experience). Candidates must also demonstrable knowledge; experience teaching general education or teaching students with a variety of educational needs. Must have good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with students from various backgrounds, age groups, and skill levels.
