Barney's Beanery Bartenders work hard, work as a team, make the customers feel at home, and make great money. Sound like fun? It is, but it requires a specific skill set. You must be organized an precise, responsible, presentable, out-going, positive, and forward-thinking. You should have great retention of knowledge attained through training of the entire food and drink menu, recipes and prices, and location and placement of items behind the bar. You must be able to converse well with just about anyone, and deliver drinks very quickly and accurately to bar patrons and servers while still focusing in on each customer's specific needs. You must complete server training, and be able to take tables from behind the bar while still keeping up with all bar customers and service tickets.  Yes, that means you've got to be fast.  And fun.  And accurate with pours and cash-handling.  Sound like you?  Apply with us.

This is the original location of what has become one of the most recognizable bars in the city, and after close to 100 years along Santa Monica Blvd., the magic’s still here. The food is above far average for a sports bar (get the chili or nachos), but it’s their nightly events and party vibe you can actually tolerate that keeps you coming back. Whether you’re there for NFL Sundays or Tuesday trivia night or their Wednesday Karaoke where you’ll definitely see a celebrity sing Heart, Barney’s is a classic and Weho wouldn’t be the same without it. - The Infatuation

Founded in 1920, the original Beanery (there are now offshoots in Pasadena, Westwood, Burbank and Santa Monica) remains a landmark thanks to its loud and loose vibe and super-gigantic menu (including their famous, self-proclaimed "2nd Best Chili in LA"). Colorful booths, loud rock (heavy on the classic stuff), pool tables, TVs with the must-see game of the moment and karaoke keep the Bean boppin late. The brewskie crowd can get pretty sloppy, especially in the adjacent bar and outdoor areas, perhaps inspired by boozer ghosts of Barney's past including Charles Bukowski, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin, said to have boozed up here the night she died. - LA Weekly

HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 27 -- A venerable Hollywood establishment called Barney's Beanery unexpectedly emerged this week as one of the town's cultural landmarks. Every evening, crowds of art fanciers, artists and curiosity seekers have formed long lines outside the Beanery to pay their homage to culture. -Oct 28, 1965; NY Times

Barney's Beanery has been a staple of the Los Angeles restaurant scene for almost 100 years, before there was a "scene"!  Our original location sits on Route 66 in West Hollywood, and its raucous and casual environment sets the tone for bar and restaurant that provides so much under one roof.  We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner from morning till midnight, 365 days a year.  We have a full bar with over 40 beers on draft.  We are one of the best bars in LA to watch sports, and we are full of other activities and games: billiards, old school arcade games, air hockey, foosball, etc.  Add in Karaoke and Trivia nights during the week.  We've got it all.

Our team of managers and staff are high-performers in this business.  They have to be with such a large spread of offerrings for our customers.  Our team works hard and works together to get the job done.   We are very proud of the special group of people that work at Barney's and we know our staff is a big reason our customers have kept coming back for decades.

If all of this sounds like a company you want to be a part of, please respond to one of our ads.  If you don't see a position open that you are interested in, hit us up anyways.  We are always eager to find new people to join our team.
